Transfer portal and 105 scholarship question

The transfer portal opens tomorrow and closes two weeks later. I can't find anything that states when exactly the sec is going to 105 schollys, just vaguely says before the 2026 season. Will we be able to sign players out of the portal if we are currently at 85 scholarships if the SEC has not officially increased up to 105? We really need to be able to go after some OL and DL in the portal. Some ILB as well. Anyone know?

We can have 105 players on the roster now. Period. They can all have a scholarship. The SEC kept the scholarship limit of 85 this past year, but voted last month to go to the full 105.

Walk on players are pretty much gone at this point. No more rosters of 130 with 50 walk on players... Some schools probably won't keep a full roster given the expense, so there may be an occasional player who plays without a scholly, but not like before.

Yep!

We are now clear to have 105 total players on the team. They can all be on scholarship.
