The wife and I are going up next month for our anniversary. Any suggestions on places to stay and eat in Nashville?
Agree on the Predators. They've got a real nice arena, and it's a fun thing to do.Price range? Interests?
You can spend a lot of time and money at the Opryland Hotel, but it's not near anything else to see. It's an experience within itself, but that's only about a night's worth.
If you want to go downtown, but sure to check out the Ryman, Tootsie's and Country Music Hall of Fame. If you're into country music, you'll enjoy the numerous bars that play live music.
The Predators are in town: preds so if you've never been to an NHL game, this would be a good chance. It's a lot of fun!
What kinds of things do you WANT to do? Sight seeing? Partying? What?
Well, downtown won't be quiet as a whole, but there are some decent eating places down there. I don't know about your interests, but for an out of towner, you couldn't go wrong with staying over near vandy, go downtown and eat at Demos' (very good food and VERY reasonably priced), go to a Preds game, go back to the hotel. You could also spend some money at Morton's, Ruth's Chris, or Flemings if you're into the whole "over priced but good steak" deal. PM me if you want and tell me more what you're looking to do.We are just looking for a nice quiet relaxing weekend away from the kids. Looking for a nice resturaunt and a reasonably priced hotel ($150 and under).
Good call on both. For a quiet weekend a trip to Centennial Park to see the Parthenon is good. You can walk the park for free. I don't remember what it costs to go in the Parthenon, but it shouldn't be too much. You might also want to check out the Hermitage if you are a history buff. Andrew Jackson's old digs are interesting.
There is a place called the Rain Forest Cafe that is suppose to be good. My (adult) kids liked it.The wife and I are going up next month for our anniversary. Any suggestions on places to stay and eat in Nashville?
It's pretty good. Overpriced, but pretty good. You're paying more for atmosphere at that place. But you're right; it's great for people from a town where they don't have one, and if a person stayed at the Opryland Hotel, they'd be right down the road from it.There is a place called the Rain Forest Cafe that is suppose to be good. hotels in downtown Nashville tend to be high...might want to consider a hotel near the airportThe wife and I are going up next month for our anniversary. Any suggestions on places to stay and eat in Nashville?
