Just got a text from a buddy of mine who is doing the radio broadcast for the game that Richardson had 322 yards and 5 TDs in the 3rd quarter. Got a phone call from another buddy that said it looks like he might break his record of 407 yards that he put up last year. Traditionally Milton is a very good team in the panhandle with a much better reputation than Escambia in that area.

Just figured I'd pass that along.

I would assume the game is over now, but I'm not sure.

He does have 411 yards rushing and 6 TD's thru some point in the 4th quarter.

Wow, that's an impressive performance indeed! He's the best RB in the nation IMHO, and probably the most college ready too.

Was at the game tonight in Milton and came away very impressed. I was surprised Trent ONLY had 419 yards. It felt like 500. He had 6 TD's and only one was from short yardage. I know one was from 80 yards because it followed a touchback. I was about to walk out of the stadium but saw him trot back out there up 34-7 with 6 minutes and change left in the game. I hope the EHS coaches don't try to over use him in these types of blowouts, as they did last year against Tate. That's an injury waiting to happen. His line and especially his FB (#44) did a great job of opening holes. One run up the middle was defended pretty well and all of the sudden, boom, he was through a tiny gap and off to the races. I'm amazed by his ability to cutback and stop and start on a dime for a big back.

Yeah, in his video's his bursts up the middle past defenders is just unbelievable. He's just the complete package as a RB. He's got home run abilities and can pound it.

I can't wait to see when Scout does its updates in rankings, and see how much they stick to their guns that there are what? 16 backs better than him.

TR takes the ball at the 20 smacks a db as he hits the corner and when he does he leaves a pair of binoculars as his calling card. Why binoculars you ask? So that db can still see him 80 yards downfield, which is where TR's standing by the time he turns his head. :biggrin:

While MI & TR are totally different RB's , it reminds of one of our better former tandems - Humphrey & Jelks . Before Jelks blew the knee & moved to CB , those guys were great together .

When it seemed impossible to do so, the Escambia High tailback upped the ante against Milton on Friday night, totaling 29 carries for an are-you-kidding-me 419 yards and six touchdowns in a 41-7 victory.

Last year's breakout 407-yard season opener against Tate — which stood as the biggest Pensacola Area rushing performance since 1996 — got Richardson on the recruiting map. Friday reinforced his ranking as one of the top prep players in the country.
