It should be noted for the record that the primary reason this happened in the first place is that Hegseth works for a boss that approves such childish nonsense. Think of the worst Cabinet nominees you can imagine in any other administration in the last 50 years (I don't mean "people I disagree with or don't like," I mean flat out bad at their jobs). Think of the Presidents who appointed them.

And can you imagine any of those nominees so passively and also aggressively acting like THIS? Not James Watt, Not Jocelyn Elders, not anyone.

I cannot imagine, for example, if John Tower had been approved in 1989 after some similar allegations that Hegseth faced that Tower would have been this stupid or that if he had that Bush 41 would have kept him. (It should also be noted Tower - aside from the drinking - was about 100 times more qualified for the job than Hegseth is).

Tower was very qualified. Chief negotiator during the SALT talks with Moscow, Chair of the Senate Armed Services Committte and led the Tower Commission, which investigated the Iran-Contra affair.

As far as I can tell, Hegseth did serve in the military, but his chief qualifications (I suppose) lay in his servile duties as a FoxNews talking head.

Hegseth's time at the Pentagon should be dead-man-walking at the moment.

Oh well, should not have allowed your loan to go into default. The COVID pause ended in October. They have had since then to figure something out, contact their loan servicer and discuss options like forbearance. Just not repaying it is never a smart move.

I had no issues with Biden forgiving loans but, if your loan was not forgiven then it must be paid back. If you really are having financial hardships, there were options available but less once you default.

The one person that interviewed claimed they could not afford the $55 minimum they were being asked to pay because they live paycheck to paycheck and have a mortgage and medical bills. Okay, did they ever call to discuss options or did they just ignore it? Are they like so many Americans who have a $500-700 car payment when they're are any number of much cheaper options. What other bills do they have, how many subscriptions to streaming services do they have. Cancel 4 of them and you have your $55 payment. Our culture prioritizes entertainment over responsibility.

Trump says he is suing Perkins Coie law firm

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he was suing Perkins Coie law firm for "egregious and unlawful acts" and cited the conduct of an unidentified member of the firm.

Trump did not elaborate in his Truth Social post. Trump issued an executive order last month that calls to terminate federal contracts held by Perkins Coie's clients if the firm performed any work on them. Perkins Coie sued Trump's administration in response, arguing the president's order violated constitutional protections.
The fool just keeps it up! :(

Tornado victims blocked from federal recovery aid after Trump denied request

Disaster survivors in Arkansas left homeless by recent tornadoes have been blocked from receiving federal recovery aid after President Donald Trump rejected the state’s request to declare a major disaster in March.

The Trump administration denied Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ request for individual and public assistance following an outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes that also affected neighboring Mississippi and Missouri and left more than 40 people dead.

You get what you asked for, or what you voted for. MAGAs really thought only blue voters would be harmed buy our idiot in chief. Funny how so many of the cuts this administration is making, or trying to make, hurts everyday citizens more than anyone else.

"For the people" is more like "screw the people" with this administration.

Trump cares about Trump and no one else.
