I put that in the other thread. I will admit there were other blue suits. I don't really care TBH. Just making light of all the stuff conservatives managed to care about before that they don't care about now.

I'm pretty sure the photo CA posted was photoshopped. There are pictures floating around where they found the originals and someone changed it to make there be more blue suits.

Edit here is the original. You can compare. Someone obviously went to add even more blue to make it seem like it wasn't that big of a deal.

They probably adjusted the overall brightness, but they didn't alter the base colors - this is from Getty via CNN:

Again i don't really care what color his suit was, but just want to point out the pics floating around social media where half the crowd is in blue is false.

Again, simple contrast / brightness adjustment and voila.

But again, that's the point. The original 'outrage' photo was cropped so that one couldn't see that he wasn't remotely the only one.

There are so many images posted that clearly show a bunch of folks wearing various shades of blue it's hysterical that THIS is what they try to attack him on. Guess they know what they readers are gonna latch on to...

It's nice to have suit color "controversy" to distract everyone from the real harm this administration is doing.

When some of Musk's companies start getting contracts that were canceled by DOGE, the real grift will be shown.

Yes... Pretty clear that this photo was doctored. Looked at multiple originals, and while some are dark blue suits, some of the blue suits in this photo are simply black in the originals. There are a number of comparisons on the net showing this as well.

I don't really think this amounts to anything other than a bad fashion choice.

Yep, and I was suspecting that from day one.

As I said - and some others (notably crimsonaudio) here agreed - the CONCEPT of what they're doing with DOGE, the necessity of cutting spending is going to happen one way or the other, either by choice of eventually by austerity. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying, plain and simple.

And anyone who thinks we can balance the budget through ONLY tax increases and defense spending cuts is also lying to you. We could tax every billionaire out of their assets five minutes from now and it wouldn't be enough to run the government for one year.

What does that leave? Spending cuts, plain and simple.

And btw, I'm not some chest thumping go-to-war conservative who thinks the defense department is some bastion of virtue, but bring your own cuts to the damn table and put them in a bill and vote on it. None of this "I agree we need spending cuts" and then raging phony outrage about "you're starving Grandma!" None of this "well, we will raise the taxes NOW but do the spending cuts five years up the line," because it never happens.

Rest assured: it will never happen until it is forced upon us. It's like the old days of probation for cheating in college football; the people who did it get away with it, and the people who arrive at the school later pay for it with no bowl games, scholarship reductions, etc.

For those keeping score at home:
1) Biden wasn't even President, he was a propped up puppet but he now has the power to sink the economy without even knowing he did it
2) Trump can't keep Democrats from stealing elections when he's in the White House, which ought to make anyone who thinks he's some sort of king of security rethink that notion
