I just hope that everyone votes honestly. Tua and Murray should be 1 and/or 2 on everyone's ballot because it's not even close after that. Anyone who has one of them 3rd or, even worse, leaves them off their ballot completely, just to sway the final numbers, should have their voting rights stripped forever. This stuff happens every year from some voters and I don't understand why the Heisman Trust tolerates it.

Just curious, do former Heisman winners vote and how much weight does their vote hold?
For clarity - there are 870 media people with votes and 58 former Heisman winners with votes - so over 900 votes in total, with only 6.25% of the vote decided by former winners.

This is a media award.

So one would think that the AP POY most years would win the Heisman. Has this been the case?

I hope like heck that I'm wrong but this is the time where I believe Bama fatigue catches up with us. People are fed up with us winning, mainly ESPN. I hope we destroy Oklahoma and then claim another national title just to stick it to them again.

I am watching Weber State vs Maine (Don't judge I am bored). The color guy is a Murray guy. He said something I have heard from every idiot talking head since the SEC Championship game. He said, "I look at the whole year." This is an outright lie. If Tua's bad game had been his first game, the Heisman would be his by a landslide. Tua made the mistake of getting hurt and having a bad game in his last game before the vote.

I am ever the optimist. Tua is the winner until I hear otherwise.
I'm ever the pessimist. ESPN has been talking as if the UGA game lost it for Tua and Kyler has it in the bag. I don't know. I just don't want to start letting myself believe Tua will win it and have it taken from him since that would make me really angry.

Penalize Tua because Alabama's defense is good?
There is no truly logical argument to be made that Murray's performance was better than Tua's. None.

Yes, some people can argue that Murray was more valuable, but that doesn't mean he was better, not at all simply that he was more important to his team and this is not an MVP award.

Otherwise, pretty much any logic at all shows that Tua did as well against better competition. That's all there is to it. Tua is the one that revolutionized Alabama's offense. Tua is the one doing something special and unique. Tua is the one breaking records. Murray is the one doing exactly what the Oklahoma QB did last year.

But... they want to give it to Murray, that's all there is to it. Just like, if you look at what the media has done with the AP award they don't want to give it to Alabama players.
