Agree with you. In 1993, the Heisman trophy should have gone to David Palmer. He was a great wide receiver, but also had to wind up playing quarterback because of injuries to Jay Barker and Brian Burgdorf that year. Of course, he also returned punts and kicks. If that is not the best player, I don't know what it.Hello friends....
I didn't watch the award show but after reading through your comments it sounds like Tua and family represented very well, something to be very proud of.
I sorta lost respect for this award after it was given to that FSU QB several years ago. So, FWIW, I don't feel it was so much of a loss, myself in the larger picture of things.
Character always shows through and Tua and his family have set a very high bar in this sport. Very similar to Jalen, in fact.
Sometimes I think there should be an award given to those who were Heisman contenders.....but didn't "win".
And you couldn't script a better scenario than we have with the upcoming Orange Bowl with these two QB's and their teams doing battle. I think the results of that game will speak much louder than what occurred in New York last night.
RTR!

Why would you have any faith whatsoever in "southern non Bama fans" in the first place? How much you want to bet that Tua got a lot of third place votes in the South. Its crap like this that makes me lose faith in southern non Bama fans.
You can extrapolate it from the numbers breakdown.I don't think that the votes are released, so unless all 13 admitted that they left Tua off their ballots publicly, I don't find that report credible.
