It does violate HIPAA.How does this not violate HIPAA? I’d think the athletic trainers should be careful telling someone this info.

If he had already been scoped and it has been kept hush-hush, he should not have taken reps all week or played for the Mizzou game. Saban should have let him heal vs Mizzou and TN.If he was already scoped, what we saw would make sense. On the play when Tua re-injured his knee, the heel/foot on the injured leg caught on the grass for a split second as he started his slide. So it could be as simple as him aggravating the inflamed tissue. It would already have been sore. That would have really ramped up the pain and inflammation.
I agree 1000%. JH has matured, he’s smart and non-emotional, and with the coaching he’s gotten this year he’s one of the top 20-25 QB’s in college football. IMOTo be honest, I think many are selling JH short right now - he's become a legit threat at QB. I know much of his work comes when Bama is up by three scores, but that doesn't mean the opposing coaches don't game plan for JH, nor does it mean their starting defenses aren't trying to stop him. But his numbers don't lie:

I hope they don't have to, but Bama can win out the regular season with JH. I'm certain of it.
Maybe Ruggs needs to rest for TN too. Still think the Mizzou player should have been penalized for that. Devonte Smith has made a lot of key plays last year and this year. I hope his Hamstring heals quickly, but he may need to sit out also. It will make the TN game more interesting (though we should win) with those 3 out, but at least Jalen and some wide receivers can get more experience. Mac too.Saban said that Ruggs is fine - ankle
I believe firmly that we will be fine with JH at QB if it comes to it.To be honest, I think many are selling JH short right now - he's become a legit threat at QB. Can CNS legally discuss his health issues publicly? I guess they sign waivers, maybe? I’m asking because I don’t know."We don't think there's any issues or problems with it," - CNS commenting on Tua's knee, after the game.
Why would he say this if there were anything more than the sore sprain he still says is the issue?
One reason could be that CNS wants to keep future opponents guessing. If he were to come out and say that Tua is doubtful for the UT game then CJP would have a whole week to prepare for Jalen."We don't think there's any issues or problems with it," - CNS commenting on Tua's knee, after the game.

Not if you want it to heal properly and fully.I think coach wanted tua to play this week because he had legitimate concerns about the scoring prowess of of Mizzou and the dismal performance of the defense last weekend. We didn't establish a physical identity on offense until Jalen entered the game. Truthfully, we do run the ball better imo opinion when he is in the game.
For you medical experts, is it possible to go into the knee, take a peak, and fix any very minor damage laproscopically and it be nothing more than soreness and just play thought it?

This is true and, in the past, it's proven to be unreliable, hence my post above...How does this not violate HIPAA? I’d think the athletic trainers should be careful telling someone this info.
Even the process of going in with a scope causes more trauma. If they go in, and there's something wrong, they fix it...I think coach wanted tua to play this week because he had legitimate concerns about the scoring prowess of of Mizzou and the dismal performance of the defense last weekend. I work in the medical field, and it most certainly does violate HIPPA, although I would think that the only violation would be committed by the practitioners in direct relation to the patient who disclosed the information to someone else. There is however the grey area of anyone else in the field who has been trained to be HIPPA compliant to uphold the privacy of any information of a patient. How does this not violate HIPAA? I'm sure CJP will prepare for both anyway. CJP certainly knows how to prepare for Jalen and it's an easier scheme, although Jalen's new-found accuracy in both the deep ball and medium routes has to concern him and his defensive coaches. They'll still crowd the line, try to create pressure and hope he doesn't drop one over the top. Tua basically can't be defended...One reason could be that CNS wants to keep future opponents guessing. If he were to come out and say that Tua is doubtful for the UT game then CJP would have a whole week to prepare for Jalen.
Had that done in August when he took out a big chunk of the meniscus and some arthritis debris. Still not 100%, but I’m a lot older than Tua. He said there is a lot of surface level pain because the knee doesn’t like having two holes cut in it and that pain when the knee is hit goes away a lot more slowly than the pain when you’re using it.Even the process of going in with a scope causes more trauma. If they go in, and there's something wrong, they fix it...
I was curious, so I computed JH's numbers from this season based of total attempts from 2016 and 2017 (through seven games):To be honest, I think many are selling JH short right now - he's become a legit threat at QB. I know much of his work comes when Bama is up by three scores, but that doesn't mean the opposing coaches don't game plan for JH, nor does it mean their starting defenses aren't trying to stop him. I am not a member of the Bama site on SEC rant, but I do read that board sometimes. There is a "CrimsonBoz" on there who supposedly has an inside source. He said it is a meniscus tear and he has not had it scoped yet. This guy has been right on other things in the past. Not sure if this is true, but it would be good for him to get it fixed quickly. We do need Tua to beat LSU, in my opinion. I think if LSU beats us, they will win the West and Bama will not make it to the playoffs either. If Tua's injury is a Sprain, he can play a series or two against Tennessee.
If it's a Meniscus Tear, he needs to see Dr. Andrews and get it fixed pronto.
Rehab will take as long as it takes. Tua is young and strong so he will bounce back quickly from being Scoped. Here's hoping for the best.
Once again Jalen is proving the wisdom of hanging around.
I'm tickled to death he is an ALABAMA MAN, through and through...
Jalen going 7 for 8 against Mizzou didn't hurt either.
