Lexi’s ball movement is still unreal. And yes, Montana brought us to the dance, and will win it for us. But Lexi is still unbelievable tonight

Its imperative that we win tomorrow. I dont know if we could beat Clemson in a double header. They are clearly one of the two teams that were screwed out of hosting and have an elite pitcher.

Amen to winning tomorrow’s first game.

If we lose, at 11AM, we play again later in the afternoon — 5PM?. Then, assuming we win that, have to beat Clemson twice on Sunday. We don’t have enough pitchers to throw four games in two days.

On that front, anybody know what happened to Sarah Cornell? Goes from SEC pitcher of the year two years ago to throwing hardly at all this year.

Late add: As I think about it, tomorrow’s 11AM game is the single most important one we will have played thus far this season

The only time Ive seen Cornell is as a pinch runner.

But as for us vs Clemson... I would rather have a game to play with on Sunday than having to have to beat their ace twice. Regardless of what happens vs Clemson tomorrow its highly likely that Fouts doesnt pitch the 2nd game unless it gets into a dog fight. We could beat Troy and ASU without her. But again I wouldnt want to have Fouts have to face a team 3 times in 2 days to advance.

According to the schedule in this article, the winner of the 11AM game doesn't play again until tomorrow.

2021 NCAA Softball Tournament Tuscaloosa Regional bracket, schedule (tuscaloosanews.com)

To advance to the Super Regional, whoever loses Game 3 has to play four games in about 36 hours, and win the last three in a row.

That's why I think this morning's game is the single most important game of the season to date.

Beyond strong pitching and some timely hitting gets us to Sunday in great shape. Fouts just overpowered 'em.
