I am lkie you M2J, I am enjoying the ride also. We haven't had a ride like this in a long time. I just want the ride to last a long, long , long time.

Ain't gonna happen...Sam Bradford had a field day last year against Texas, I predict he will do the same tomorrow. My preseason heisman winner makes a major statement tomorrow and takes momentum away from Chase Daniel in the Heisman race.

In my opinion, we need Oklahama to win. If by some chance Texas were to win, I think they would jump us and Oklahoma would only fall a few spots. If Oklahoma then won out, they would be in position for possibly a top 2 in the BCS without even playing in the B-12 championship game. I think however if Oklahome wins as they should, then Texas would be out of the picture.

if LSU and/or Texas win, we will drop in the AP and Coaches.

The polls have a history of doing so when a team doesn't play and other teams play worthy opponents. Missouri and LSU both dropped during their off week. And with LSU and Texas both playing top teams they would jump us if they won. However, none of that matters considering we have to play LSU anyway and if we win out we will be #1 or #2. So its really irrelevant at this point.
That is of course unless it's U$C.

I don't think a UF victory over LSU would be a huge surprise. If that happens, our path to the SECCG becomes a lot easier. If it happens we then win the SECCG, I don't think we get shut out of the big one, a la AU in '04. The best scenario right now is for the opponent to be OU...

to all of us that would rather not have a high ranking, heisman trophy winner talk, bcs championship talk, etc. better get use to it. it comes with the territory. that being said, I will give you a quote from Dale Earnhardt to Dale Earnhardt, jr after passing his son on the last lap to win an IROC race 'leading the last lap is the only one that counts'

for what its worth, i think we should be happy to be ranked #1 if it happens. I am afraid Bama won't play for the championship with one loss (in my opinion) and definatley not with two losses.

There's so many ways it could go, but having the loss earlier, and to a good team who later fails, is a better path. For us, we'll have to see LSU as a 9-0 team to have any real chance at the NC. If we lose, there's really no way back for us unless we get help from other teams, which of course is possible.

So, if we get ranked #1, we at least have a cushion if the pollsters get fickle late in the season. Having said that, not losing would be a sure path to the big game. RTR.

I may be sentimental, but I would be pleased as punch to get Texas in some kind of post season game and finally beat them. We're 0-7-1 against them.

LSWHO beats Florida and guess what happens? We play better as #2 vs #1 but it would be nice to be ranked uno just for the historical significants.
