I am a regular on another board, where there are fans from almost every team and most on there said that Pro's catch was the most spectacular thing they had ever seen and voted for it. It sure does feel good knowing that we (speaking as a fan only, I am not a player or coach) are getting some good publicity.

I was only able to go to one game this year as well...and it just happened to be the So Miss Game. I had to go to one early season because my son was about to be born (my first!) on the first week of October.

Congratulations on your son! My wife and I had our first child the Monday after the LSU game. Actually, she was having contractions during the Mississippi State game, but kept watching and cheering for the Tide! (long story...) Now that's a fan!

100K for the Prothro catch, 5K for the 5 in-season PGCPs and another 25K for Ryan's Lott award all go to the general fund.

Letterman had Marv Alberts on the show to present and comment about the unusual sports plays of the year. They ran the clip of Prothro's catch and commented. It was one of several clips they had chosen; some were on football, others on basketball, soccer, and hockey.

I was busy watching the National Championship game and actually missed it myself (my wife saw it). Most sports fans probably missed it because of the game on ABC at the time. Anyway, it was good PR for him and Bama.
