The last time I saw a team as undisciplined as Georgia was Saturday was in November of 2006 at BDS. Those young men have forgotten how to win.

well if you throw in 2006..when he went 7-5...it doesn't look all that great.
They were 9-4 in 2006, which would actually increase his win percentage over the following 4 years.

But if you want to start that, we can also throw in 2005, when they were 10-3 and won the SECCG.

Just saying, you start looking back and his record's pretty good. I think most UGA fans are tired of being 'in the hunt' for the SEC but not in the national title picture. At some you have to decide whether or not 'really good' is good enough.

The uga joke was on the field wearing those silly uniforms. Then IMO Maryland ups GA on the uniform bit. Just don't know.

I was in North Carolina and surrounded by UGA fans over the weekend, and the UGA fans were as mad as hornets over those uniforms. They were all terribly embarassed by the whole affair.

Stone Cold, it's hard for most of us to remember the good seasons for UGA!!! Although CrimsonAudio has the facts and data, it doesn't change PERCEPTION and perception is Georgia SUX! They started going down after the blackout beatdown. Their attempt at a comeback that night seems to have been their last. I'm really surprised Richt hasn't gotten a brick through a window yet.

I've read lots of posts on here about what a GREAT PERSON CMR is, that is NOT the issue. When you finish in the top 10 in recruiting year after year and you can't put forth a better effort than what was shown on Saturday, it's time for someone to go. This said, I still doubt the PTB will get rid of him. All the team has to do is pull out at least one upset this year and win over GT & that will save him.

The joke here is UGA and their fans. They give *U fans a run for their money on delusions of grandeur. They are an also ran of a program, always have been.

They have 1 national title because of one absurdly great player going to UGA. Without Herschell they are no better than KY or Vandy. Yet their fans act as if they are College Football royalty.

Funny thing is there is a debate over whether Mark Richt is a mediocre coach or the best coach UGA has ever had (evidence posted above). I posit that he is actually both. Best coach they have ever had and extremely mediocre.

Great quote from The Alphabetical on sbnation. Sums up the Richt era to me

One one side was three-star talent with five star execution, and the other was five star talent with two star coaching. That is what Georgia is right now, and what they've been since 2008. If you like your filet mignon charred to well done and served with ketchup, you like what Mark Richt has done with UGA's talent. If not, then you might want to think about hiring a different chef.
personally, I hope Richt stays at UGA forever. I hate UGA with the blinding passion of any sane football fan living in Atlanta

Georgia is a soft team, and reflects their head coach. Richt may be an okay human being but no legit fb school is going to covet him as head coach (short of a DivII team)...they're average even in their "high expectation" years.
The best that UGA fans can hope for is a total beatdown by USCe and put the Richt era out of its misery...if they win, we'll be revisiting this topic the rest of the season, and/or maybe the next one.

FWIW, I've picked UGA to win the east, even though I picked BSU to win & now find myself picking USCe in the next one, so my fb season predictions are off to a fine start so far...:D

After reading this CA, it appears the problem at UGA COULD be the DC's, NOT CMR. If he has authority to get rid of them and doesn't then it ulitmately does still fall on his shoulders. If he's being forced to keep them that would be a whole new issue.......interesting....
It falls on his shoulders regardless of the situation. Just try to imagine Coach Saban if the PTB tried to force an assistant on him. :p_redeye:
