Just as a talking point, with the season one third over, there are still six of the SEC teams that remain undefeated:
Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
LSU
Vandy

Since Vandy is idle, they are the only team that is assured of remaining undefeated through this weekend. Since Alabama meets Georgia, the number will certainly drop to five.

Florida goes up against Ole Miss, Kentucky faces Western Ky, and LSU faces Miss State, so these teams should survive unscathed.

I would love to see Alabama remain on this list, but that is a tall order in this conference. With Florida, Georgia, and LSU all playing each other, it is going to be very tough for any team to survive without at least one loss. It remains a good possibility that the SEC championship game could be played with two loss teams.

The one team that stands the best chance of running the schedule undefeated has to be Florida because they play LSU in Gainesville and Georgia in Jacksonville.

I hope we win also but if we don't I hope that it is at least a very close, hard fought game. This will keep us from dropping too much in the polls, not deflate the team too badly and if we win out, assure us of a good bowl (maybe even a BCS bowl).

In your scenario, if we won out and finished 11-1 that would assure us a berth in ATL for the SECCG (even if LSU won everything but our game we would have tie-break to ATL). I would imagine under not to crazy of circumstances that both teams in ATL in December will be in BCS bowls in January. I could live with that.

That's right. I didn't think of that but if we win out then it could be a rematch with UGA. And if it is close this Sat then I like our chances of beating them in Atlanta if Saban has two weeks to prepare. Plus our freshmen will have grown and become more seasoned by then (Barring any injuries of course)

I agree with you. Our youth is hungry and continue to mature with each game. Not a bad situation at all.

There is only 1 week between the Auburn game and the SEC Championship.

It also remains a possibility, though not good, of two undefeated teams in the SECCG. UA v UF.

True. It could happen, but highly unlikely. Anything can happen and it has happened in the past. Generally, the SEC is just too brutal to run the table, especially for both teams to make it to the SECCG with perfect records.

I just hope Bama is one of them.
