This might be kind of lame and if so I appologize, but I would like to hear from people such as myself who live outside Alabama, and get together in groups to talk about and enjoy Alabama Football.

I live in Columbia, Mo. and there is a group of 6 of us who get together during the season and watch Alabama Football at a local sports bar or at one of our houses. One of the guys in our group is actually from here in Columbia, but has always liked Alabama.

If you don't mind letting me hear from you let me know what your groups do.

My friends are from different parts of the USA. Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Maryland, Texas, Alaska, Georgia, Minnesota, and California. Here in Key West We (my friends and I) either go to Finnigans Wake or Jack Flats. Our love of college football is what drives us to watch as many games as we can.

I hope this helps. RTR

I am in Baltimore, Md. I haven't heard of anything up in my area, but evidently there is a Bama friendly bar in DC. I figure not having fellow Bama fans around kinda sux, but at least I don't have to see awbies up here.

I know there is an alumni club here in the Bay area and 1 or 2 bars show the games. In Lakeland, FL (east of Tampa - in-laws live there) on any given day, you will see 3-6 Bama tags on the front of local's cars. For some reason, there is a big number of Bama fans in that town. The main Hooters in Lakeland (on South Florida Ave) always shows the Bama games.

You might want to see if there's an UA Alumni Chapter in your area. IF not, why not start one.

BTW - Most chapters allow non-alumni to join.

UA Alumni Association
I tried to start a Fan Club is the Wichita area when FRAN was coach. [ his wife and family is from Mulvane, KS] which like Hoover is to Birmingham.
I got a formal reply back that only a UA alum could start a Fan Club and was asked not to attempt one on my own or the University Alum Assoc. would force me to disban it.

Don't know if they could or not, but this is when my dislike for FRAN started.

there is a strong alumni group up here in Middle TN, so I'm thinking instead of starting a group that goes around and slashes the tires on vehicles sporting auburn stickers, tags, or plates. Additionally, if you see them while driving you must swear to run them into a ditch.

You can't get into Kooter Brown's in Pensacola on game day because of all the Bama fans, especially if it's a pay per view game. It's a good place to eat some wings, drink some beer, and watch the Tide play.
