May get some tickets to the game but they are in the Upperdeck section U4 I have never sat up there how is it? Kind of leary about sitting so high and far away, but have heard some say its not bad.

My season tickets are U4 BB and fairly high up. I would say get as low a row as you can get your hands on and you will be fine. View is actually not all that bad.

Ramp walk suck, but my seats are in U4 and I would rather sit up there than almost anywhere. We are loud and have a great time during the games. I have sat in U1 and other "better" location, but they don't seem to be as excited as we are. Maybe it's just us and the people we sit around, but I love it.

There is an elevator too. We have taken it the past few times, I just limp a little.........That sprial is a killer, especially when it's hot.

I like the high seats myself because of the ability to see plays, etc. develop. Getting up there isn't the most fun part, but it's one of those things I endure to be a fan. I've sat in the lower decks as a student, then as a guest of folks in TidePride, and honestly, maybe it's just me, but I actually prefer the upper decks. The only thing, aside from distance up, is if you're in and endzone, you lose perspective on long plays like downfield passes, punts, etc. The ball will look like it goes straight up and down, whereas it has actually gone 40-45 yards downfield.

Here's another upper deck view from when I went to the Vandy game last year (South Endzone, Section SS-7 or 8)...:

I've sat in the uppers several times and enjoyed myself. It can be a little dizzying at first. I actually liked the view and, as other say, you can see plays develop, sort of watch the qb and receivers at the same time, etc. I did not have good experiences in the south upper deck as there is (or at least was) a huge traffic choke point where the southwest ramp exit, the disability seating and the lines for one of the concession stands get all snarled up. If you aren't careful, you can be stuck on the ramp at kick off over there.

As for your particular offer, I don't know what tickets will be going for on the Quad Saturday evening. My wife just about refuses to leave home without tickets, so I don't really know that market. Someone will reply, though. The two undefeated teams, how long its been since we played in BDS, the proximity of Starkville and homecoming have all combined to make this a pretty expensive ticket.

I've sit there before as well, it's not bad at all. Will be chilly though!

Only thing I hated was watching passes, etc. and it was hard to gauge if said WR would catch it or not. It's gravy though once you get used to it!

Depends - on how far you have to drive and if you are willing to wait right up to kickoff or just after to get in. I have heard people say they get really good deals on decent seats right near kickoff. Driving from Huntsville I wouldn't take the chance but if you are close and it wouldn't kill you not to get in might be worth the shot.

I am not an upper deck girl. Sat there for Tennessee game last week. Positive - saw the plays develop. That's it for me. :) Of course that was Neyland vs. BDS, so no competition there.

I'm glad everyone is different! My seats are G right behind players bench row 6. I want to be close. When Nick winks at me I need to see him....LOL.
