I had seen the "Upromise" logo while grocery shopping but never took the time to register until yesterday.
It appears to be a FANTASTIC program for saving for college. You just register your credit card, grocery cards, etc and it automatically deposits savings into your upromise college savings account or 529 account.
You can save for family, friends, or yourself and even use it to payoff student loans.
If you use AOL, AOL doubles the contributions. You can also download the upromise reminder which will, if you go to a site like ebay or bn.com, automatically link any purchases to your upromise account.
(18,000+ grocery & drug stores, 50,000+ stores and restaurants, 200+ online stores.)
Fortune magazine and others recommend this service.
best of all.... it's FREE!

[TideFans gets absolutely nothing from this.... i'm just providing it for those who might be interested in saving for their kids, grandchildren, neices, nephews, or friends]
