USA Today Top 25, No Bama

Absurd..yes we lost but it wasnt 48-14.....still ranking teams above us who played cupcakes when we at least went on the road to a much changed FSU is why rankings in the first few weeks are a waste of time...all this shows is that the people doing the ranking at USA today ( who knew they still printed that paper!) hate Bama and are gloating over the loss...it makes little logical sense to drop us out of the rankings completely...

admitting Alabama was significantly over-ranked at #8 to begin with and adjusting accordingly might be what is going on here. If we base Alabama's ranking on the last 10 games (5-5 record) or now 1-3 in the last 4 games, this is an average team at best and significantly trending downward.
In the last 10 games, they were controlled at the lines of scrimmage by average teams in several games. Alabama looks like a bottom third of the SEC team based on recent history. Maybe the team can regroup and win a bunch of games, but this team has proven in recent history to be getting worse, and the performance against FSU was just embarrassing when you compare that to what used to be the standard for this program.
If I am doing an unemotional assessment based on resent results, going .500 in the conference this season looks unlikely, so in my personal rankings I would have Alabama well outside the top 25.
Coaches has Bama @ #20. I expect AP to be about the same.

I don’t think being ranked 20 or NR will get their attention anyway.
All the bad habits we’re pouring over carried over from last year.
If they aren’t going to fix things after OU and Mich then when?
This ain't getting fixed in 2025. All the sunshine pumping in the world won't change that. This culture we have in the program is toxic, it permeates everything. We are soft mentally and physically....that doesn't bode well in the game of football.
There are teams on our schedule that will skull drag us.
No one should move up if you play a cupcake at home....or 3 in a row....cough...Penn St...

I knew the world was messed up, but I didn't know it was going to get this bad.
It feels like we've travelled back in time 35 years or so. Ohio State, Penn State, Miami, and Notre Dame in the top 10.
