UT Basketball

I am 100% Tide but when my family moved to Knoxville in 1997 I kind of adopted the UT basketball team as mine because nobody around here liked them and everyone was bowing to Fulmer. My question is....What are your impressions of Buzz Peterson? People around here have run out of patience. I have thought his teams have been terribly coached for 3 years and he has no talent evaluating skills. He is the #3 paid coach in the SEC.

It looks like you're having a hard time actually getting an answer.

Buzz has not done well at all. UT doesn't seem to be playing as a team which is coaching. Their talent level looks to be better than their record. I'd say he's in trouble. If they can't generate some wins, excitement, and fill the stands, he's done soon.

Outside of LSU, they seem to be the most Apathetic Bunch I've ever seen..... And this goes back to Fat Boy Slay and companies team as well......

UT always seems out of sync

Lack of effort, team play, lack of discipline shelfishness, all things Buzz was brung in to fix from the Jerry Green era, but are still showing their head in SEC play.

Ultimately though, its tough to win when you're coaching the men at a Women's basketball school.

UT problems in basketball started when...

they built that canyon of a basketball arena. Before, they played in a snake pit that held 12,000.

UT thinks they have to have everything bigger than everyone else. Look at football stadium and basketball arena. Kentucky had Rupp Arena that held 23,000 so UT had to build a 25,000 seat arena and now they are paying for it.
