UT fans......what gives?

So my wife and I just had a new home built in a heavily SEC represented neighborhood here in Central Fl. My neighbor to my right is a big Dawg fan, the guy to his right is an LSU Tiger till death. Then to my left is a Gator guy, of course, and the couple across the street from me are UT fans. So the UT fans, whenever we are in the front yard playing with our kids or driving into the neighborhood and they are walking we always are friendly and give them the good old wave.....but nothing in return. So last night I was putting my flags on the truck and getting the flag out for the yard (home owner association said we could only put school representation out on game days!!!!!) and whawhatnot Well he and his wife were walking and I decided to bite the bullet and say (knowing all to well what the answer would be before hand) "Getting ready for that game Saturday??" He looked at me and said in a stern tone "WHAT!", so I repeated myself....."Getting ready for that game Saturday?" He then looked at me as if I was the stupidest person on the face of the earth..and then looked at his wife like he was silently asking her "whats is this F'ing moron doing talking to me"!! Wow talk about going to far! Maybe he has already conceded getting beat, maybe he is jealous that his school colors are Orange and not the beautiful Crimson ours is! Or maybe it’s the fact that my boat is bigger than his????

LOL go figure!!! So just for that I am wiring the outside of my house with speakers and strategically placing through the yard and every 10 minutes Saturday, from 7 am to 12 midnight, I am going to Blast rotation Yea Bama, and Rammer Jammer!!!!!!!!

No, I actually joined to get an insightful look at Tide Athletics. What I've found is hatefullness and spite to anyone and everyone who isn't spewing (insert SEC school here) Sucks & Rammer Jammer. I simply offered a different perspective on a given situation - perhaps I should have expected this sort of treatment given the majority of posts.

Umm thatguy! My post was more out of humor and boredom. If I were hateful a person, would I have made numerous atempts to be friendly with him and his wife? NO probably not! And my true colors, well yes I bleed Crimson, but I am a good guy and take football for what it is.......A game! And hell my aunt lives in a trailer park. So go figure! LOL

I have a few friends that are UT grads and they are very classy toward me, but I wonder if we would be friends if we had met AFTER all the problems of the last couple of years. I've seen fans of schools that just won't put aside the rivalry in deference to courtesy... and far too many of them are Bama fans.

It sounds like Air Bama tried to be polite and the other person refused. You might be right that it has nothing to do with Alabama or Tennessee. Maybe the guy is just a rude waste of DNA.

If he doesn't give you a chance at friendship because of your collegiate allegiance, then he's not worth worrying about. Stick to decent human beings and don't waste any more time on the cretin.
