Utah Selects Mo Williams to Replace Stockton

You gotta love that. The guy gets a chance to fill the shoes of a great. I feel he will blossom in the NBA and be one of our better players at the next level. Represent Mo!

Actually, Utah already have a point guard playing over in Spain right now, but I don't think they expect him to come over for at least another year, so looks like Mo will compete for the starting job. How will it look when Mo possibly gets the assist on the basket that makes Karl Malone the all-time NBA scoring champ?

Actually, the point guard from Spain, Raul Lopez, is awesome but he had surgery on his knee last year.

He travelled with the Jazz all of last season.

He may or may not be ready for the start of the season. If Maurice Williams really kicks butt at the NBA Summer Review in Salt Lake City (2 weeks of rookie and 2nd year players by some of the best teams in the NBA) He will force the Jazz to keep him and I know they love him.

They are also making a play for Andre Miller, the former University of Utah All American point. He desperately wants to come back as he lives in Salt Lake City.

Karl Malone will be playing for a different team this fall. Mo should do alright, but don't expect him to be the starter.

Mo will have a lot to learn. I hope they don't throw him out in the fray too early and put too much pressure on him at first.
He's got some big shoes to fill in Stockton. It's gonna be tough to follow the all-time leading assist man in the NBA and one of the best court generals ever. I think Mo could have a career like John Starks and be a great contributor to any team.
