Utah's offense

I hope our fans don't take this game for granted, even to a small degree, because we shouldn't.

Looking over the Utah schedule, you might be inclined to think that Michigan and Oregon State represent the best wins for the team this year. But the win against TCU is more solid, in my opinion. I think you have you have to look at how a team plays against a variety of offensive and defensive schemes. That shows something about their balance and versatility.

No matter what you think of Michigan, the Wolverines still took the field with superior athletes to Utah. I am sure Michigan thought they would line up and impose their will. Then you look at BYU and their inability to put up many points against Utah. Or TCU, with a very balanced offense, that couldn't get it done.

Don't get me wrong, I think we're going to win. But this Utah team is not all gadgetry and gimmicks; they play football and they do it well.
Thanks for the props! Everyone in Utah is excited about this game and we can not wait. I want to thank all of the Tide fans who are not ignorant and see this game for what it is. We as Ute fans have been waiting for a game like this and it is finally here. Because of the size of our stadium and money it is hard to get teams in Utah like Bama. So if we get to play them in a bowl for now that is just great. Good luck to you all and lets hope for a great game!

I have a feeling the mods better start warming up.
Sigh! I'm afraid you're right. There's the real problem of the "blind spot." If you talk smack so much of the time that you can't tell the difference, dialog gets really difficult...

Come on? Tulane, W. Kentucky, Kentucky, Aransas St? Not much to brag about there either. You should beat the garbage teams and why did you have trouble against the rank teams except for Clemson? Just get ready for a good game.

Maybe because they were ranked? And, we could have named the score against UGA, when they were #3 - and they never amounted to much later because of being crushed and injuries. There's no definitive answer unless you'd played our schedule - or VOILA! - we play each other. Now, I think you need to have a thick skin visiting this (or any other) board and don't feel like you have to defend each and every word you see as denigrating to your team. We don't allow smack on either side, but the home team always gets the benefit of the doubt.

60-40 sounds about right.

We run a lot of the same stuff as Florida as UM was here first, but we also run quite a bit of the "wildcat" we have been doing this since UM left. We have two really good backs, one a big power guy, the other a methodical runner who gets better as the game goes on. We also being our Back Up qb in a few time every game to run quick sweeps as he is the fastest guy on the team
Probably will be better for you guys (leaning more towards the pass). You won't get the rushing yds you are used to getting against our D. I don't mean that in a cocky way. We're going to be the tougher up the middle than any team you've faced this year.

What will work in your favor is the fact that we have given up yds in the air at times. This is partly a function of bad plays and partly b/c teams have been behind against us a lot.

As for the wildcat we've defended that well this year. We limit Ole Miss when they were out of that formation. So, it won't be something we haven't seen.

Look forward to the game I'll be there.
