I'm up here in no. middle tenn. and my vile friends had WORRIED looks on their faces today. Some who said Bama was no longer an attractive job ate their crow with zeal. Others just bashed Saban for "bailing" out on the fins. Talk shows from Nashville also bashed Saban, but one Bama caller asked them why they didn't bash fran the same way when he left Bama?..."Hold the Rope!" They ducked the question of course. There were several of my vile friends who 1st heard of the Saban hire from me and their 1st rxn. was their eyes kinda got big, then they just became REAL nice, gave congrats, then quickly changed the subject. The most obnoxious Vilefan where I work (before Christmas--RR denial-- he once asked me who was Bama's next losing coach gonna be--and he is a preacher!!) didn't have much 2 say so I did some talkin..."Get prepared, ---, the days of Tenn barely beating Bama are OVER! You guys could only barely beat Bama ('01, '03, '04, and '06) when we were hampered with talent depletion. Bama is soon to be in MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE with talent level and lead by a coach that has some guts. You know this is coming don't you, ---???!! He quickly tried to redirect the conversation and I let him because I almost feel sorry 4 him for the future butt kickings his Viles will receive from Bama. Yep, had a real good day @ work today...even my Ky Wildcat friends were talkin smack to the Viles---they had rather see Tenn lose than UK win (in FBall). Roll Tide & Roll Saban!!!
 
I work in Nashville and was also listening to the radio tonight. They(vols fans) just ran off at the mouth about how Alabama sucks and and that they have more reason now to hate us and how Coach Saban wont be able to recruit against the barn. Theyre scared thats for sure.:BigA: Its really on now. Any intelligent tennessee fan should realize this by now. Oh, and by the way BamaBomb- Dont ever feel sorry for any vol fan because they have given us you know what for WAY too long. This is their nightmare. As you read this our rival fans and coaches are waking up in cold sweats.

Let's hope we can make their nightmares a reality. That goes for everyone in the SEC. Not to hijack but speaking of nightmares...Who is the next SEC team to get put on probation?

Odds are that it will be the barn. They dont have the best reputation. But it may just be wishfull thinking.

Your probably right. Once the NCAA starts looking they will find something. Also SC has those recruiting violations they are facing. To be perfectly honest, and this includes BAMA, if the NCAA wants to find something on a school. They can find it. Any school can fall.

With a little luck, in a few years there will be LOTS of people who have forgotten that the Vols existed.....

What a great day to be a Bama fan. After all the media and opposing fans talking about how Bama is finished, who would go there, etc, etc...to see it all blow up in their face.....yes indeed, a great day.

oh man yesterday was great, all I've heard all week from Barners and Vols fans is how no one wants the job and that we would be lucky to get Coker...

when the Saban rumors started rising up, they shrugged it off, "why would Saban go to Bama"... when the "saban to make decision in 24 hours" came out, you could sense a bit of fear in their voices... when the announcement came from the Dolphins owner this morning, :eek2:

is there a report out of Knoxville of Fulmer having a heart attack yet? I hope his new years resolution wasnt to continue to lose weight, Saban just ruined that one for him... And in other news Tuberville has decided from here on out he will start to recruit out of the Midwest, even he realizes there is a new Sheriff in town as far as recruiting is concerned :wink:

honestly, I bet Saban with his limited time to recruit has a better class than Tubby, and possibly with anyone in the West(still going to be hard to contend with Florida in the East, especially with their success this year)...

i'm curious to see how many kids pull out of their verbal commits, i'm not worried about ours, I think they will be running to sign their letters of intent...
 
Sorry guys, but no matter how much I may dislike another team, I never hope or wish any of them to get on probation. I am a little tired of all the back-biting and finger-pointing in he SEC. Don't we cannibalize each other on the field enough without having to add to it with this stuff? :BigA:

NO! An eye for an eye. We have been the joke of the SEC for the probation handed down because of other coaches "squeeling like a pig". How can the NCAA do what they have done to OUR program and not expect anger when others "slide". I say to **** with em all! I hope they all get their due!:mad:
As far as I am concerned DO UNTO OTHERS! Everyone in college football is guilty of a infraction, perhaps the NCAA should get off their bums and punish someone else for a change.
