It feels like the one program that has really struggled to be competitive the past 10-12 years has been volleyball. But, I think that could slowly be changing. The ladies went 5-10 in the SEC and are the 12 seed in the "renewed" SEC Tournament that was last played from 1979-2005. Love that it's back. Savannah won the bid for it and all 16 teams participate. We take on 13 seeded South Carolina Friday the 21st. Coming off the last 2 years where we won 3 and 1 conference match, winning 5 (and being competitive in alot more) shows we've made some progress.
I also saw where we signed the 21st ranked recruiting class this year as well. Hopefully, the future brings some winning SEC records and NCAAT berths. AD Byrne has been patient with Coach Redd who came on board in 2022. I know very little about VB but enjoy watching the Tide on SEC Network when they are on.

I know nothing about what makes a winning program in volleyball. I have met the coach a couple of times, and she comes across as a class lady.

Kind of like when Curry took over the women’s basketball program, volleyball was below ground level when Reed accepted the job.

It takes a while to build a culture. She deserves patience, especially since we’re showing progress both on the court and in recruiting.

Well said Basket Case. Without a doubt WBB went through the desert after the glory years of Rick Moody and we are definitely a top half of the league program in what is easily the toughest conference in WBB.

Also, I like the environment Foster can bring to a winning VB program. I live here in ATL and have been to a few GA Tech volleyball matches and it's a small, nicely renovated gymnasium (from the "old days") They sell out most matches and it is a TOUGH, wild place for opposing teams.
