Re: Vote for Trent Richardson for Heisman
Trent rushed for 127 yards, one TD, and was second in receiving yards for Alabama, for a total of 153 total yards (right at his average). Against a good defense (16th in points again). This was yet another game in which Trent was the best offensive player. Some of his best runs were not statistically great, he just turned nothing into something. One of the most important stats is that Trent has yet to turn the ball over this year, which is significant.
Luck had 2 INTs (including a pick six) and a fumble. In a game in which he could have and should have looked like the best offensive player (as Trent was in the LSU game), he wasn't even the best quarterback. He wasn't the most outstanding looking player either (that honor went to LaMichael James). The fact is, even when down big Luck seemed unable to do anything other than throw underneath.
Clearly, Trent had a far better day and if you look beyond the hype I honestly think Trent has the better resume, playing better relative to his competition.
