Trent Richardson carried Alabama past rival Auburn -- and its final hurdle for the season. The Alabama running back torched the Tigers for 203 yards (more than the entire Auburn offense) on 27 carries and caught another ball for a score.
Voting is still open. Trent still leading.
JR: Hey, Trent, I just want to make sure the listeners understand that completely. You had just had surgery where you had screws in your ankle when your oldest daughter was born. So the future was anything but secure. It's very clear how you love them, and how much responsibility you feel for them. The question finally is then how is this going to impact your decision as to whether or not you come back, or whether you decide to turn pro after the season?
TR: It's gonna be pretty big on that, man. I've got mouths to feed, but at the same time I'm only like 23 hours away from graduating. I came this far with my degree. I'm gonna see how that goes, for real. I'm gonna sit down with my family, and I'm gonna sit down with Coach (Nick) Saban and see what's good for me, see what's best for me or what's good for my family, for real, and what's good for the team. Because I am a team member, and I am a team guy. And so I really do want to finish my degree. At the same time I do have little girls, and I do have a momma to feed. So it's gonna take a big toll on me, and at the end of the day I've got to make sure my little girls happy. I'm gonna be big on that decision there.
