I am trying to figure out how the press rolling over for Obama (true - to a point) has anything to do with the fact Obama didn’t send a bunch of ICE agents into targeted cities and stand up there boasting about how he was doing it because of what a failure the mayor or representatives of that state or city were doing.
It’s almost like having the ability to keep your damn mouth shut enables you to accomplish more.
It’s almost like there’s a politically effective way to do the exact same thing and the Donald Trump Way, which always involves pounding your chest like a gorilla throwing crap at the zoo.
(Much of the “soft coverage” on Obama, sans the bootlickers at MSDNC, had to do with the unique perspective of mostly white journalists having to cover a black president and being afraid of their own shadows that someone would call them a racist, regardless of if they told the truth. It should be noted this was a two-way compromise since Obama often withheld honest reactions out of fear of being seen as the angry black man).
