I really don't understand these comments. Walmart offers no special stress for me. I go to the Hwy 280 Walmart (Greystone) once a week, and I also go to the Publix across the road at least once a week. I like both stores. In fact, the Publix tends to be more crowded due to its smaller footprint.
I go to Wal-mart to people watch.

I go to the Walmart near my home east of Montgomery because I save 20-25% on groceries every trip. There are some items I won't buy there but Winn Dixie and Publix are nearby too.

I have only encountered one problem in all the years I have shopped there. While checking out there was an altercation between an older man and a "quite feminine" young man. The older one had insulted the younger one who tried to start a fight. The older man would definitely have mopped the floor with him. Thankfully the clerks were able to calm them long enough for them to take it outside. It was loud but really comical. I was grateful nothing came of it.

My problem with them is the items you buy that scan incorrectly. They suck at some really simple things. They have spent millions on becoming the most efficient distribution model in the industry. And they can't get their prices right.

We started noticing this when we went to the one in Fayetteville,NC. It happened in Florence, SC and it's happened in Charlotte. Not once. Over and over and over.

Once my eyes focused on the surroundings....I don't think that's a Wal Mart.
