  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

I was good-timing and will be watching the game again, so I'm not sure how often he lined up inside. I swear I saw him playing nose tackle a couple of times, which makes a lot of sense. Was it only on passing downs, or was he at NT much in short yardage?

It's been pointed out on here that he looks heavier this season. Now, I have to ask if we think this is by design?

The D-line is obviously getting healthier. If the front 4 plays better the rest of the year than they did last night, there aren't many teams that have a chance against the Mighty Tide.

He usually moves inside on obvious passing downs. I believe they call it the "rabbit" package. Since Florida was passing the ball almost exclusively in the second half that's probably why it stood out more to you.

I know he moved inside a lot last year on passing downs when Cody came off, but I thought saw him inside on 2nd and 4 once. I'll watch the game again tomorrow. We just haven't seen a lot of MD this year.

Remember that in Dareus' true freshman year, 2008, he was the third-team noseguard behind Cody and Chapman. When he played, he mostly played NT. It wasn't until last year that we started to see more of him at DE than NT.

Marcel manhandled Pouncey a couple of times, I think coach was just trying to get his best D lineman on the field at the same time. By far, this was the best game of the year for the D Line, they really got a good push in the middle all night, against a quality O line.
