That's not honest, that's Mack over-playing the "woe-is-me" underdog card. He's trying to feed this stuff to the media so our guys that read it get over-confident. Too bad for Mack b/c our team has a strong work ethic and business approach to preparation...

Good lord. I think Mack Brown has earned a new nick name, "Coach Hyperbole." This guy makes Finebaum look like an amateur.

Texas doesn't get much of an opportunity to be an actual underdog, so coach Mack Brown has already decided to make the most of it.

"We're not able to sleep," Brown said. "They've got three Suhs up front. That's the problem. Everywhere you look, they've been knocking people down. We've been afraid to show it to our kids."
All this is is coach/underdog speak. If he really believes this, then the players believe it, and the game will be over before we know it. After all, when Ro and the boys smell blood they become relentless. And as JPS said, he is trying to build up our boy's confidence to cockiness.

He's bilingual, speaking fluent Belichick as well as English.
I liked this quote about CNS. Funny stuff.

I agree JPS. Think about this though. Can you imagine how intimidating it must be to the longhorns that top tier coaches come to Tuscaloosa to see how the "Master" prepares for a game. I have never heard of such!

The "underdog" card is being dealt just about ever where you go not just by Brown. I was just in Dallas for a week and even their local sport talk shows are saying the exact same thing. It may be they want their players to hear how bad their going to lose just to get them ticked off. It would me.
Either way, its not easy preparing for the Bama D.

Another grease job. He must have taken lessons on po' mouthing from Coach Bryant. He was so good at it that even as a fan, I would wind up believing him, thinking the our opponent was a world beater.

Alabama is used to playing like the underdog...see 1993 Sugar Bowl. The players are preparing for this game like its Armageddon. I hope MB has an actual gameplan...other than to rile his players up and trick ours into thinking they're a bunch of pansies. I think it will be the Texas players themselves who convince us that.

POOR OL TEXAS......... Man is there anything he can drag into this underdog crap.. Not that I disagree with his review because our defense is pretty dang good but I passed sick of hearing this crap 459 articles ago~!~

My only hope is our boys and CNS are using this as a motivational tool because I certainly am getting mad just reading half of his crap hopefully BAMA will make all his BS become a reality~!~ Wouldn't that be great to beat the snot out of them but then again it just gives him something to fall back on in case they actually do lose... We shall see~!~

I wish he would just shut up.

I hate his politicking, whining, aw-shucks, woe is me attitude.
Agreed! I've been tired of hearing him for YEARS!

I heard him on ESPN radio last Saturday, and he was talking about his raise to $5 million/year. He said the extra $1 million/year would not change his life. He also had the audacity to say he didn't get into coaching for the money (thats fine), and "ALL HE MADE IN HIS FIRST HEAD COACHING ROLE WAS $275,000.00/year".

Are you kidding me? I'd love to make $275,000.00/year, wouldn't you? Plus, how long ago was this $275,000.00/year job?

He constantly panders to ESPN with interviews, etc. all during football season. Be the underdog if you want, but leave the drama behind closed doors.

Rant over!:)

This is getting old. They are 13-0 for goodness sakes, why does he think he has to do all this extreme poor-mouthing to get his team motivated? I think I know the answer.
