I think we are all just getting older and it feels like time is accelerating and our time is running out.

I get what you mean though.

As a kid it felt like an ETERNITY to reach milestones like turning 10,13,16,18, 21 etc

But now it almost feels like it was 10 years ago at most we landed CNS

It feels like only 4-5 years ago that Tua hit Smitty for 2nd and 26

In a few weeks it will be 5 years since we watched our 2020 team.

I think Covid messed up our sense of time too.

My wife's friend group has a saying: "The days are long, but the years are short." It feels like my kids are reaching milestones faster than I reached them. At the same time, as a Christian, I find myself growing weary of this world, but wanting to hold on as long as possible while worrying about the future my kids will face.

I remember in the late 70s when "the year 2000" seemed a LONG WAY off.

But it doesn't seem that long ago now, and it's just as far away as it was then (farther even).

Where it got me recently was talking to my Dad and noting that at age 79, he's as close to 1866 (the year after the Civil War ended) as he is to today. That's before Andrew Johnson's impeachment and seems SO LONG AGO, but by comparison of time, it isn't.
