If we would just go ahead and nuke the hurricanes Florida’s worries would be solved, except, of course, for the alligators, and Desantis….and sand in your sheets, and the ugly terrain….and other things. /s
it’s almost like there’s some sort of pattern …James Spann

Dear Americans:
Professional meteorologists are tired. Another major hurricane has formed and is headed for the Florida Peninsula, so it will be another busy week.
We have a favor to ask. If you believe…
*The moon has disappeared and was nuked by the government
*Hurricanes are steered and controlled by “chemtrails” and HAARP
*Every federal agency, including the National Weather Service, now exists and has orders to help a certain political candidate win the election
*All hurricane relief workers are being jailed
*Four more hurricanes are being “steered” into Florida this month
Can you just keep it off this page? I am trying to push critical weather information out in a calm way; your rhetoric is a huge distraction we don’t need right now. I really don’t ask for much, but this would be very helpful.
Thank you.
Your pal, James.

We in the medical fields get it, James. I'm certain teachers/instructors get it as well.
Maybe helps people decide to evac instead of riding it out?TWC is showing computer generated simulations of how flooding would look in areas of the Gulf Coast. They showed the same thing last night.
Someone please tell me how that garbage helps anyone?
SMH..........
Guess my point is they're spending way too much bandwidth on this one topic while ignoring other topics that would be more useful.Maybe helps people decide to evac instead of riding it out?
I dunno, grasping at straws here.
Of course, this one is historic as a major hurricane hasn't hit Tampa in about 100 years.
I think sometimes they take for granted that there are Floridians who haven't dealt with this before. New folks or people that haven't ever had a direct hit.Guess my point is they're spending way too much bandwidth on this one topic while ignoring other topics that would be more useful.
There are many folks who could use more information about power outage management, for example. The various types of generators available now.....how they all work.
I could probably make a list of a dozen things they could be covering.
There are bound to be people who need to evacuate and are still hesitating. Maybe it's an effort to prod them. I they're going to do it, they need to do it right away. I'm hearing that 95 is already a parking lot in some places. They need to fill their gas tanks and go very soon.Guess my point is they're spending way too much bandwidth on this one topic while ignoring other topics that would be more useful.

Yep - my family in Orlando is telling me hotels there are already at or near capacity. If people are going to evac it needs to be NOW.There are bound to be people who need to evacuate and are still hesitating. Maybe it's an effort to prod them. I heard an advisory from NOAA - NWS this a.m. predicting a storm surge on the central west coast to be as high as 10 feet well inland. No preparation in the world will help if caught in water and high winds at night that maybe double a persons height. I feel for everyone caught up in these circumstances. I understand the hardship of getting the family in a car and getting on the interstate for a 12 + hour ordeal. There are bound to be people who need to evacuate and are still hesitating. Good info, Bazza. I'm for showing people tips to help during a storm and how to prepare, but I'm also for showing a worst case scenario.Spend time using scare tactics.....or offer useful info like this.....take your pick, I guess......
