It'll be very interesting to see if SOS carries any weight with the Committee this time.

That is supposed to be put in practice this year. I imagine if you don’t have teams with more losses ahead of teams with fewer losses or undefeated with weak schedules then they are not doing their jobs. Schedule strength is their chargethat is not up for debate. The question is who holds the committee accountable if or when they don’t do their jobs.

The consequence is the teams will see that the committee does not care about SOS. Everyone will run out and drop anyone with serious potential to beat your team. Schedules will be filled with whatever they can get away with.
