Gadsden, AL
to you and your family to Alabama. This was a big career decision for you, one that I truly think in the future that you will be glad that you made. Your humble background and emotion and passion on the sidelines are what I like most about you, which are things that have been sorely missing sir from here for a very long time. Rest assured the Alabama family is behind you....

Has anything been signed?

No.

I ain't confident in welcoming someone until I've heard them say they were coming and were looking for a podium.

But I hope to Welcome Coach Rod to the Crimson nation very soon.:biggrin2: :BigA:

Price never signed. Did you welcome him?

Don Vito , I assume you will welcome and approve of CRR becoming a member of the "Family" ?

BTW - D.Brasco is on Court TV .

RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigA:

Someone please pass this note along to Coach Rodriguez...

Coach, please contact Joe Kines ASAP...you need to keep him here!

i hear its all a smoke screen and Larry coker is our man

Honestly, I won't be happier if RR is our new coach, he is who I have really wanted since this all began, and we NEED kines, having Rich's offense and Kine's defense would probably cause a certain ball coach Knoxville to gain about 200 more lbs. and Krispy Kreme's stock to shoot out the roof...

Yes, welcome Rodriguez family! Ya'll look great in Crimson.

Great! But I don't want to jinx anything so I will keep my mouth shut until the whole thing is finalized.

With that said, If RR comes what will happen to CJK?

If Rod and Mal know whats best for em, they'd do all they can to keep Kines..

I think if Rodriguez and Mal Moore keep Joe Kines at BAMA, they'll go at least 8-4 next season, and somewhere around 10-2/11-1 in '08. Familiarity and consistancy with a scheme is a key asset when dealing with the defensive because defense is so fragile.

Sidenote: From what I've read, Rodriguez is the "Stallings" type of coach, meaning that EVERY player has a chance to start on any given week, depending on how they practice and how much heart they show week after week. Thats how Stallings led BAMA to a 11-1 record in '91, and a national championship in '92. Everybody played on a sky-high level, and he didn't kill off their energy in practices and workouts. Stallings did what was necessary. Here's to hoping Rod does the same.

:conf2: I certainly hope from this aspect that he is NOT a Stallings type. Remember Shaun Alexander???? Stallings played Seniors and upperclassmen first, period. He didn't believe in playing younger, talented players. Had he started Shaun Alexander after the LSU game (his freshmen year), Alexander would have broken the school record his Junior year. No, no, no, please give ALL players a chance... who cares what year they are, if they are the best we have, then you gotta play 'em.

He didn't start Alexander because of his work ethic during practice. Not because he was younger....

Come on in Coach Rod!!! There's more excitement surrounding you than hardly any coach we've ever had here at Bama. Kick your shoes off, enjoy the ride and stick around for 20 years. It'd help if you spank that other school down the road year in and year out (you'll know who they are when you see the big eared fellow coming at you from across the field) and the school up North with Shamu as their coach. You're now a Bama man. You're part of OUR family and it will be all good for you and your beautiful family. Welcome Coach Rod. We're glad to have you.

FEAR THE ROD!!!!
