I’m in shock. Of course it makes sense but I didn’t think the committee would do it because of all their other rankings and what they have said. The way they harped on being undefeated power 5 conference champs, I just didn’t think they’d move FSU out. No matter how bad they looked.

They did do one thing they have talked about, Bama did not jump Texas.

This just makes all their talking and previous rankings look stupid, especially last week’s. Why keep Texas and Bama at 7 and 8, behind Oregon and OSU when you knew then they were 2 of the best teams. Why keep FSU 4 when we knew about there QB for a couple weeks and knew they weren’t one of the best teams. Just a stupid committee.

if anything the lack of inertia is to their credit, but having weekly rankings at all is utterly meaningless.

You’re making the assumption Travis’s injury was “the deciding factor”. It was a big factor but you can’t make the statement it was the definitive factor. Only the committee knows what weight it was given versus other factors like SoS, best wins, etc.

They did that against Texas a few years ago. I think they will be focused like we were last year vs KState.

Some teams will approach bowl games differently than they would a playoff game. I hope Georgia prepares for the bowl game and that they don't have players holding out. If they beat Florida State, it won't necessarily prove that FSU did not belong in the playoffs but it will shut most people up.

Georgia should murderize them.
