You will definitely find Def Leppard on the soundtrack of my high school and post-hs years. I was a freshman when “On Through the Night” came out in 1980…and then there was “High & Dry” in 1981. Most people started following them by the third album “Pyromania”…but then there was the horrible accident…and no one knew if they’d ever record another album.
Four times-around-the-sun later they presented this to the world. It was a different…more mature sound…and the production was spectacular. It was if the band (and it’s sound) had grown and matured at the same pace that I did over those four years.
