I got the defining moments DVD box set as well. I watched all of them in two days. Every dvd is great in it's own way, but probably the most interesting thing that I took from them all was on the Goal line stand DVD. Narrator Eli Gold makes the comment that going into the '79 sugar bowl (to conclude the '78 season) that bear called up Joe Paterno to arrange this meeting of the two teams to take place. The interesting part is the DVD touches on how the '77 team got screwed out of the chance to have a shot at the nat'l champ game. #5 played #1 and jumped Bama and left them out. Bryant probably called Joe Pa to tell him something like don't dodge us, you need to play us - we're the best two teams... Some other hilights are the Lenny Patrick run in the '81 iron bowl (win 315) - the story behind it. Bryant stepping on the field to tip his hat to the '81 team that had a goal line stand against penn state in the regular season for win 314, said that's the only time in the Bryant era that he did that. Finally, in the 315 DVD, Murray Legg talks about working as an assistant on Bryant's staff and tells a great story about Bryant's final game in the liberty bowl. Every bama fan should watch these dvds. Great stories behind the plays.
