What does Tidefans.com means to you?

I've lurked for a long time and this is the first, and usually the only, Bama forum I read.
 
In a word...sanity

So many Bama fans are unrealistic and uninformed in their opinions, and there is no flaming by random preadolescent Aubs and UT fans.

But also I surf here everyday even if I do not post, because there always is good information about the team, coaches, players and the program. I am more well informed than some of my relatives in Alabama because of this site.
 
I appreciate the differing opinions. Being friends with UT fans leads to one opinion of Alabama football.

It's nice to be able to have some objective conversations about the Tide! And a whole lot of positive subjective conversations as well!
 
My lifeline to the Bama Nation and all that is good and Crimson!!

A great place to seriously discuss one of my passions in life with others of like affiliation, (also some who are not but show class on our board) and enjoy a good chuckle now and again to pass the workday.

Its like a wormhole that instantly takes me from NY all the way back to Tuscaloosa-- Im on here all the time-- either on my computer at work-- or my computer at home-- or my phone--- its the only place i go for bama football news, because i know it will be accurate, and its the first place i go for recipes cause i know they will be good (great beef and barley soup by the way bayou :smile:)
 
I appreciate rival fans coming on this board a being able to talk real football. I also enjoy the moderators not allowing as much trash talk as they have on other boards. I do spend WAY too much time on here though :-)

Would have been a whole lot easier to have just asked us to remove you from our list of posters. Every time I hear something like this, I remember a line Jack Nicholson said as he was examined in court on "A Few Good Men." Went something like, "How dare you enjoy the freedom that I provide while questioning the manner in which I provide it."

Folks, while this will not turn into a discussion of how the board is moderated, TideFans is made available free of charge to any Alabama or rival fan. The people who have the responsibilities to moderate this site don't make a dime from their work. I don't know about any of you, but when you donate hours of time to a volunteer effort, the last thing someone wants to hear is griping about how they volunteer. Sorry... my rant for the day.

To put the shoe on the other foot per se, my HUSBAND says I spend way too much time on here! Tidefans.com is my homepage on my laptop and PC so it's the first thing I see in the morning and the last at night. I love being able to impress (LOL)my co-workers and friends with all my knowledge or funny stories (the never ending orange bama hat thread) on bama football. The great thing is that I know it to be true and repeatable or the Mods would delete it!! I also think it's great that other school fans can come to this site and have a civil discussion and give their opinions but not trash talk, which I never knew was even possible from Tn, fans (HA Ha). I don't post much (kinda scary) but I read everyday so I would say it's my "fix" and I am hooked forever. I have 2 kids at The Capstone (yes, I'm broke) and I call them to give them the "scoop" before they even get a whiff of football "happenings". Again, I don't post much so sorry if this is long! Thanks Tidefans.com and RTR!!!!!!!
