Re: What if FSU vs OSU in the National Championship - Pick Your Winner

I'd lean towards Ohio State.
(1) Meyer has won two national titles so he obviously knows how to prepare his team for such a big game.
(2) Miller will create opportunities with both his legs and arm
(3) Biggest reason of all--Carlos Hyde is the best running back in the country in my opinion, He explodes up the middle.
FSU hasn't had to face a strong running game plus a strong passing game plus a QB as versatile as Miller.
It would be a very high scoring game but I'd lean towards the Buckeyes, say 51-48 in OT.

I think FSU wins comfortably against OSU. The SEC champ (either Auburn or Missouri) could beat FSU if the Buckeyes slip up in the B1G championship this week.

Don't have a dog in this hunt, and I haven't watched either team extensively. But to an outsider FSU appears to be a more complete team (mostly on D), if you allow coaching and offenses to be approximately a wash (and Winston might be better than Braxton). FSU just gets more stops.

For me, it's kind of like the Taliban vs. Al Qaeda.

I give the edge to FSU because they are in the South. Of course, that's going to make my 25th class reunion a nightmare because of all the Seminoles that will be there, but at least I'll be able to say something along the lines of "get back to me at the 30th if you've won three out of four."
