What if the Big Ten isn't all that and a bag of chips this year?

NIL has been a net positive for the rest of CFB but a negative for the SEC?
Only conclusion im having at this point. It is perplexing.
Yes actually, it has.

And that is why it came to pass. That is to say, it came to pass in order to end the South’s hegemonic power over the sport.

The SEC came to dominate the sport because all of the talent was in its geographic footprint. The fan bases were more crazy and apt to dump piles of cash into the infrastructure of their programs as well. Teams from other geographic regions were not coming into the South and convincing high school talent to play so far away from home.

But now you can straight up pay players seven figures to play for you? And oh by the way we are going to do this portal thing where players can just say screw you to the team they signed with and go elsewhere without penalty?

That is the death knell to the South’s dominance in college football. But it’s also the death knell to college football in general. The product on the field has suffered greatly.

B1G teams this bowl season have been the more physical teams and actually older for the most part. There are no finesse teams in the B1G...i think that is why USCw and UW are struggling in the league. I think that is part of their overall success this year - LOS is consistent even if your skill players opt out etc. Smash mouth football will win against teams trying to out scheme you

It feels like to me the program is treading water right now.
Trying to hold on to the dominant years under Saban.
But thats all history now.
Is CKD the answer? Might be might not be.
Could we find someone NOW to replace him? Highly doubtfull
I dont have the answers, especially in this topsy turvy world of CFB, but what i do know is 38-3 aint gonna cut it. EVER.
It really looked like they just gave up.
There has been a culture problem since 2023, and i dont know what it will take to fix that.
