The two most difficult losses for me were probably 1989 vs AU and 1994 vs FLA

We were undefeated and Ranked in the Top 3 both times and those losses crushed NC hopes right at the end of those seasons.

I'm honestly not sure what my favorite win is though.

'93 vs Miami is probably the biggest upset

'09 Florida is a strong contender for best team we've beaten where we had to play almost perfectly to do it.

The actual 'Best' game due to it's back and forth nature is probably the 2015/16 game vs Clemson with the Drake KR TD

The 2nd Half and OT vs UGA in 2017/18 is exciting but the 1st half is a miserable watch though it ends with the GOAT walk-off play.

The only thing I can say for sure sure is that 2nd and 26 is probably the most exciting sporting moment I've ever experienced. The only other play like it for me is when the Braves walked off the Pirates in the 1992 NLCS with the Sid Bream play at the plate.
Favorite victory:
1993 Sugar Bowl vs Miami

Hardest Loss:
1986 LSU

This one may be obscure to some folks, but this was the kick of all kicks in the gut for me. You have to understand the time.

Alabama had not even played in the Sugar Bowl since January 1, 1980, but on October 24, 1986, we were #2 in the nation. #6 eventual national champion Penn State came to town and beat us senseless in the rain, 23-3. So a national title was now probably a pipe dream, but we could still get a high ranking and win the SEC and Sugar Bowl. So LSU came to Bham, winner has the inside track.

And we beat them senseless in every way possible except, well, two. The obvious one and turnovers. Bobby Humphrey fumbled, once inside the 20 and once inside the one-yard-line (into the end zone), and we lost by four to a team that we outgained by 150 yards, had more first downs, and we had the ball longer. But the turnovers killed us - and goodbye New Orleans.

What made this worse was I was a senior in high school and the two biggest jerks in my church youth group were both LSU fans.

2015 nc was pretty great

Lotsa games that absolutely devastated me but the two that stick out weirdly are that arky game in like 94 or 90 something where we did catch the td but was called an incompletion. Little Joe had a meltdown and broke his little league bat on the the bunk bed. So much trouble and spankings haha
The other was the ucf and that la tech too. Man were the 90s a rollercoaster

That Arky game was 1995

That Officiating crew blew multiple calls and it was so bad the SEC suspended them the following week.

didn't bacon bits convert a 4th down with 12 players on the field on their final drive?
Yep

Not sure which call was worse because the final TD ‘reception’ was clearly a trapped ball.

They showed a behind the play camera angle and you see it clearly skid the grass.

If was a JP broadcast too and Tim Brando was the main play by play guy and he’s acting like it’s clearly a fantastic catch.

It was infuriating.

Yeah. the trapped ball was infuriating. I remember my dad and I discussing that with replay (didn't exist in college then) it would have been overturned. Now I am not so sure because we have seen how bad replay officials are now.

Too many good games to narrow it down, but if forced to pick, it would be the 92 Sugar Bowl against Miami, and the 09 Championship game against Texas. Both national titles came at a time that I was beginning to doubt I'd live to see another one!

The worst to me was the 84 season. I was born in 1959, and was 25 years old that year. It was the first time in my life that Bama didn't go to a bowl game. Losses to Boston College (after Kerry Goode blew out his knee), GA Tech, Vandy, Georgia, Tennessee, and LSU left us with a losing record for the first time in 25 years. The only thing that saved the season for me was the beating the barn - thanks to their kicker for shanking a makeable FG late in the 4th quarter!

Alabama 3 Mississippi State 6 - 1980 Most Difficult Defeat!

I would have to put Alabama UGA right on the same plane for the 2018 National Championship.

The State loss was the first loss I really ever remember after watching my first two solid years of Bama. Heck I almost started to believe back then that Bama didn't lose.

In the NC game against Georgia, when Tua got sacked I still knew we were at least going to get a 1st down eventually. I don't know why I thought that but I just had supreme confidence after he got us back in the game and we almost won it with a kick. But, that pass was a shocker. For the first second or two I didn't realize we just won.
