I want to play Notre Dame first. Although it would be harder to prepare for Oklahoma for the championship game (if they beat Clemson) with less time to prepare. I want the easiest path... if we play OU first, they may beat us and then we would not make the finals. I think OU would beat Clemson. I do not want to play Clemson again or UGA again. I am just glad, though, that we made it to the playoffs. It will be interesting to see the matchups. The committee has been up all night I'm sure.

I'm genuinely stunned at the number of people who think UGA is still in the conversation. I simply cannot imagine them being ahead of ND, OU, or OSU. Two losses, no conference title and a blowout loss. Even though in reality they're probably one of the top four teams it would be a preposterous farce to leave out a team like OU just to gift UGA another chance.

Alabama and Clemson are locked in at 1 and 2.

I cannot imagine Notre Dame not getting in with an undefeated record even though I don't personally believe they're top four.

OU should remain ahead of OSU. I don't think OU hurt their chances enough or OSU helped themselves enough for a jump. OU avenged their only loss and it's a much better loss than OSUs. As good as they looked against Michigan OSU just doesn't have the body of work.

Biggest question is does OU jump ND. I think that's 50/50. I think that makes sense but I also think the committee wants Tua vs. Murray.

I'm guessing we are playing Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl, and Clemson is playing Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl.

I think they pick Oklahoma over Ohio State due to their more "quality loss" to Texas (vs. Purdue), and they avenged that loss yesterday. Notre Dame gets bumped down to #4 due to not having a conference championship.
You straight stole my picks from the other thread. SHAMELESS!

This is what it should be.
There's gotta be some penalty and some reward to ND. Undefeated play, you're in the top 4. Sitting at home while everyone else is playing a ranked conference championship game, sorry, there's repercussions for CHOOSING to be an independent and not play in a conference.

I think OU will be in but what seed? I feel ND should be the number 4 seed since they didn’t play yesterday. So I think we’ll be playing ND first.

Georgia played wildly above their heads in a stadium that might as well be their home stadium and Tua was hurt. I think with that and the bad loss to LSU in light of the Oklahoma resume I think it's hard to tell Oklahoma to stay home after avenging their only loss on the road to a rival.

Having said that a healthy Tua might hang 60 on that OU defense. They can score though so who knows. And the national thought process is go hit Tua, take penalties if necessary because he can't take a hit. I don't know that I agree that he can't take a hit but his foundation is the source of his accuracy and he just has to stop fighting when being tackled. He's got to learn how to protect himself when he's about to get tackled.

But then there is Jalen....

I really like this. RTR
Because the tie breakers are head to head, common opponents, and conference championships

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. Georgia
6. Notre Dame

Ohio State beats Notre Dame Out because of two of the three tie breakers: Northwestern ( ND 31-21; Ohio State 45-24 also Championship Game ; Michigan (Ohio State 62-39; ND 24-17) As stated ND is part of no power 5 Conference therefore no championship games. No impressive wins over top ten teams. Statement from Comittee ND join a conference stop playing cupcake schedules ... a 24-17 over 6-5 USC DOESNT get it... also 22-17 win over Vanderbilt ?

If if they follow the four best teams this should be the outcomes. Sorry Georgia close but no cigar.

This is how I would have it since I think OU is better than ND but the committee could keep ND #3 and OU #4 if they want to see a Tua vs. Murray matchup.

If we end up scheduled to play Oklahoma, can our administrators choose to play in Miami instead of Dallas?Im not sure on the rules.I know 1 is slated to play closest to campus but Dallas is a huge advantage for OU.

I hope this is true. OU avenged it’s only loss and won its conference championship, while ND sat on its butt.
I think, though, there may be a desire to see Tua vs Murray, and unless it’s in a semi it probably won’t happen.
So it’s either that order or reverse 3 and 4. I see no other teams in the mix.
Unless the committee penalizes OU for not having a defense, which is possible.
Me? I wouldn’t mind UCF at 4; I do so want to shut them up for a while. The longer their false bravado lasts, the mystique it inspires could surpass Boise State of years ago. I’d prefer shutting it down sooner rather than later. Just dreaming here. [emoji854]
