Well, I would say with two teams losing already and USC leading Oregon, we should jump to four. Obviously I think tcu and Boise shouldn't be in front of us, but for right now that is how it is. Possibly two?? Three?? Could Utah jump us with a win ? What do y'all think? And I do know we control our own outcome... Just wanted some feedback

I been saying the past couple of weeks that we néed to be at least number five when we play auburn. When we beat auburn we would jump to number two or one

We'll be 5th.
But, start watching our computer rankings - another week or two, and our computer ranking will probably begin to jump Boise's and TCU's. We still have to convince the voters though, that we are better than them. Computers are only 1/3 of the ranking. Beating an undefeated Auburn team by 30 points in the last game of the season should convince voters...

IF the Barn is #1 when we play them, and we win out beating #1 Auburn and win the SECG most likely in a rematch of USC, our SOS will be incredible. We will have played a gauntlet of teams, on the road, against teams with bye weeks, taking the best shots from everyone.

What have you seen this season that makes you think that's going to happen?

They have no defense and we have the best defensive minds in the country?
while i agree with you, the reality is that we'll likely have to play our best game of the year and hope we get lucky with turnovers and the zebras. auburn is on fire right now - i hate to admit it but it's true. we can't stick our heads in the sand. we better come out blazing or we could get into trouble quickly.

but first things first. we must beat lsu and msu before we worry about the barn.

No, if we play our best game of the year, we will beat the snot out of anyone. We will not need help.

#2 is a most probable if we win the remaining games from every article that I've read. Our strength of schedule at that time will overcome the one loss over TCU and Boise's perfect record.

We should be number 5. With Michigan State and Missou going down winning out should be enough to jump Boisie & TCU. Still think Utah will take care of TCU.

It will be interesting to see what happens if TCU does beat Utah and going into the Iron Bowl the ranking have AU #1, Oregon #2, Boisie St # 3, TCU #4 and UA #5. I would think beating #1 would jump us to number 2 but, I could imagine the media outcry if in the final Harris/Coaches poll TCU &/or Boisie are ranked ahead of Bama but, the computer send us to Glendale. (I am confident they will...)

Should we be Oregon, I could see a split title with Boisie or TCU winning the AP Title.

AP Title dosn't count anymore! After all, they are just sprots writers.:) RTR
I strongly disagree. For decades, AP has awarded a title that "counts". They're not tied to BCS so they could have a different champion. I can see a scenario where we'll be glad the AP marches to a different drummer. Suppose Oregon and BSU are chosen for the BCSCG and BSU wins. In the meantime, Alabama plays undefeated TCU/Utah in the Sugar Bowl. BSU wins ugly; Bama handily beats TCU/Utah. AP awards Bama their NC.

Would we / should we recognize this championship? Of course we would and should.

USC was recognized as the split champion, right? Of course that no longer matters after the whole Bush/cheating scandal. Obviously the BCS title matters more, but we would recognize an AP title.
