Hey folks,
Unfortunatley,
I've got to work Saturday morning, Sept. 2
I should be off by the time kickoff gets under way. Any recommendations on where I can watch the game in the Atlanta or Marietta area?
Thanks for the heads up.
I know it's still a couple weeks away, but I got to make some plans.

Jocks & Jills at the Galleria is where the Bama Alumni meets to watch the games. You and any other Bama fan is welcome to meet there.
In Dallas, one of my friends owns the Mellow Mushroom. WHile there is no official Bama meeting there, he will have his tvs on Bama when it is broadcast on cable. Since the Hawaii game is not carried on cable, he will not have that one unless I can get other Bama fans to cover his cost to carry it. I most likely, will be at Jocks & Jills for the Hawaii game unless I go to Tuscaloosa.

Also you might have a shot at Dreamland in Roswell for N. Texas a few years back a group of my family and friends sat and watched there, but call ahead and make sure they're getting the game.

Good suggestions above and you also have Smith's Old Bar in MidTown. I know it's not near Marietta, but is a big Bama hangout on gameday.

Wherever you go...go early!!!

is smiths showing the PPV games this year? I know they have had some trouble getting the feeds in the past (at least on a few of the ones where i went) but it is a fun place to watch the games and hang out.

I agree on Jocks and Jills. I live in Duluth and have been to several different Jocks and Jills locations which have all been fabulous for football. Find the one nearest you and go for it. The only problem that I have had with JJ is when they have a reserved party for any team (the people usually get really load and obnoxious). Other than that JJ is a great place to go and watch BAMA.

I know Jocks & Jills is the "official" place but except for the fact that Smith's has had problems getting the feed to work ( they always get it working but sometimes have missed the beginning of games if its the first pay-per-view game) what I do like about Smith's is that the Alabama game is the ONLY game they will have on any of the tv's so you do not have to compete with any other games or any other fans its just us Bama folks so thats nice.

Nice to see you posting again LNadell. I enjoy going to Smith's But now that I live in Dallas, Ga Smith's is a little far for me to drive for the feed not to come through.
I do agree that it is a great place to see the game especially for those that live in Atlanta.

Thanks mamacalled its nice to be back, I didn't post much after football season because I hated that when you logged onto the board and then clicked the football board it opened in a new window, I'm glad they changed that feature. My computer goes crazy and is very slow when I have multiple windows opens at once, but now that they changed that and football season is starting I should be around a lot.

if im not mistaken, the J&J in cobb galleria is the only J&J with the PPV feeds, but thats just my assumption.

cobb galleria is near the intersection of i 75 and i 285 on the northwest side of town.
