Which logo do you like better?

I grew up on the elephant stepping through like many of you did, but I have to say I really like the new one. To me it seems much more bold and aggressive. Contemporary and classy at the same time.

I like the big elephant with ALABAMA underneath (have it on a mousepad) better....the script A is kinda nice but people not close familiar with the school may wonder what the A stands for

case in point: I own a yellow Arizona State University T-shirt that simply has the block letters "ASU" printed on them in the maroon or garnet or whatever color that is outlined in white....I wore it today and a guy stopped me said "is that for appalachian state?"

I don't know why they had to change the logo. It doesn't make sense to me. The old logo is traditonal just like our football program and shouldn't have been messed with. I am plum mad over it and have been for several years. I sure wish they would change it back.

Exactly what i was thinking! I'm not mad about it, but never understood what was wrong with the old block logo of the Bryant era. There's a lot of history, tradition and honor attached to that symbol.

I hated the deranged elephant that we'd been using and the newer script one is a little sissy looking to me. As far as I'm concerned, they may as well put lace around it. It's a little like your mom dressing you up like 'foppish dandy' when you would rather wear jeans and a t-shirt.

And the script A represents everything I believe about the University of Alabama...


Its simple, elegant, and well defined. The same can be said about our sportsmanship, history, uniforms, and fan base. I like the script A (the one at mid field this past year, and my avatar) because it just fits dammit

I grew up with the crimson block A. I saw no compelling reason to change it. I don't care what Ark has as theirs. We had it first so let them change theirs.

On a national level, everyone knew our logo when they saw it. There was not much confusion about it.

Had there been a huge public outcry from the Bama nation to change it, which I doubt happened, then maybe. But I wouldn't have been an alumni who would have voted for it.

I have apparel with the new logo on them because that's all you can get any more. Sigh.
