Who does Will Anderson remind you of?

He is so impressive. I am not one to exercise hyperbole, but so many times, when I watch him, he seems unblockable. There have been instances where he's had 2-3 blockers on him and has still made an impact. I think another way to look at it is to notice how poor the defense seemed when he was out of the game. The effect was tangible.

I don’t remember or know measurables. I can only go by playing style and results. He is a mixture of Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson to me.

I wasn’t old enough to remember watching DT play at Alabama, but from what I remember of his KC days, Anderson has that same style.

By the time he graduates to the NFL, he may well be the best Alabama defender of the Nick Saban era.

Weren’t you just waiting for CNS’s head to explode?
When I heard the question I was thinking, Saban is about lay into this guy. He didn't which is the class way to handle it but man, stupidest question I have ever heard him asked and we've heard some really dumb ones.

If he remains healthy and continues on this trajectory then he’ll be in the mix for #1 overall. Add another accomplishment to CNS’ legacy.

Was it Casagrande? He asks the worst questions.

Better yet, can you describe his speed?
There was a comment on a broadcast (and it may have been the radio broadcast) that he is the fastest player over the first 5 yards of anyone at Bama since they started electronically tracking that stuff. For the position he plays, that is crazy. I can’t imagine the damage he could do if they lined him up in a wide 9 position and told him to pin his ears back and worry about nothing but getting home. I don’t think a tackle can step back far enough, quick enough to hinder him.

Awesome stuff man. All I can say is that we better enjoy him while we have him because he will be NFL bound as soon as eligible to be drafted. Pray he stays healthy too because we will need him in the SEC Championship game and post season.

I can't recall someone with his range and ability in the position during the Saban era. Maybe he's a bit like Derrick Thomas, another legend?

But he really reminds of Jadaveon Clowney, from South Carolina. He's a nemesis on the field, and causes nightmares for opposing QB's. It's kinda like if Derrick Henry played defense.

And he's getting better.

Thought I would use this thread to ask a question about Anderson. Do you think we will start using him a little differently…maybe mix up where he lines up? Special blitz packages, etc

This may not be the answer, but unless it’s 3rd and 10+ I don’t think he should ever have his hand on the ground. Stand him up, move him around. Make offenses react to him, not the other way around.

In due respect to your post, he is no where near DT! Will is very good player best we have on defense and I'm not bashing him but he didn't make the big plays Saturday night, DT, BISCUIT, and even EJ JUNIOR made plays when it had to be done can Will do that of course just has to get more consistent like all of our guys
