Who has the best looking cheerleaders?

I have to admit, I haven't seen all of them but from the ones I've seen (Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennesee, Arkansas, LSU), I'd have to say Arkansas has the best looking bunch overall.

As much as I hate to admit it, Alabama (taken overall as a group) has the homeliest cheerleaders in the SEC. I know that's VERY politically incorrect to judge them by their looks alone but let's face it, that's the first thing a person notices about cheerleaders.

OK, flame away but that's the way I see it.

Man, I graduated from UA back in '99 and there were definitely hotter cheerleaders during the 90's than there are right now, but come on . . . this is like asking which diamond ring is the prettiest . . . they are all nice. If you want to talk cheerleaders, ask why the northern schools (vast generalization) have lesser quality cheerleaders than ANY southern school . . . :)

That's because...

you know and like the southern spectrum of faces. We attend a church in south Huntsville that's largely made up of people from outside the south. After about a year, my wife made the observation that "these people just look different." I said "that's because they aren't southerners." "Oh." Now, don't ask me why yankee men also prefer southern cheerleaders.

You're exactly correct

I've spent time up north and it's terribly shallow sounding but for the most part, they just aren't terribly attractive up there. I spend several months in western Pennsylvania several years ago. I found them to be extremely nice, good and decent people but God love 'em, there wasn't an attactive woman in the town.

I used...

to live in NYC. I could spot a southern face in a crowd. Of course, sometimes you got fooled and only their forebears were southern - like Katie Couric (Georgia).

LSU usually has some pretty hot cheerleaders. I have to admit, at homecoming, based on pure looks, Alabama's weren't the prettiest...the dance team on the other hand, had it going on!

What happened to getting cheerleaders that could fill up a sweater? ;)

For an interval...

they were drawn from the gymnastics team - not exactly sweater-fillers. Don't know if that's still true, though...

The wife...

of a good friend of mine was on both the GT and a cheerleader back in the early '80s. It was really a pretty grim story. The GT was basically "cut-throat" - not much team spirit at all. In addition, they were required to try out for cheerleading (and always made the squad). The shift towards non-sweater fillers began when so many gymnastic routines were added to cheerleading. Those things weigh, when the guys have to pick them up... :D

Does anybody remember the Troxell twin's? I'm not going to say when they were around. I might be giving my age away. Oh, wait a minute - I already have on that post that asked everyone's age. They were cheerleaders in the late '70's.

I dated one when I was down there and her background was 100% gymnastics . . didn't even cheer in high school. But it didn't matter, as long as she could smile real pretty and do a hundred back handsprings . . . that was what they wanted. And no, she couldn't fill a sweater either, but the rest of the package made up for it.

ps. I ended up marrying a girl from Ohio, so I have to tread lightly on the northern women vs. southern women debate :)

I have relatives in Cincinatti (think I spelled that right) and I saw quite a few attractive women there. When I say "North", I'm talking New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, etc.
but I still give her grief about being a "yankee" :) It's fun!

I guess it is politically incorrect, and probably in large part a matter of perception, but I have to agree with the general idea that southern girls are generally better looking, and the evidence is in a comparison of the cheerleaders.

I have observed over a number of years (I am about the same age as TideHSV) that cheerleaders from Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana are generally much better looking than those from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and other northeastern states.

I think an exception has to be made for Minnesota and California. (It may be obvious that I prefer blondes).
