I live 12 miles to UNC campus, and I like Butch Davis. So, I must pull for UNC as my #2 team. And my Step-Father is a UNC grad, so I have that added family pressure. The deal is simple. I pull for UNC right after BAMA, and he pulls for BAMA right after UNC. I think it is a fair deal.

I would have to say Oklahoma. Really, the main reason is because they respect us sooooo much. In Franny Poo's first game against them with Texas A&M, I understand that the crowd started chanting "Roll Tide" towards the end of the game (I think it was a blowout for the sooners). It's also rumored that they wanted to get the band to play "Yea Alabama," but our school officials requested that they didn't, and that they do their own traditions, but they appreciated the thought. Also one year in high school I went to all-state choir in Birmingham and the director was the head of the choral department at Oklahoma (this was spring 2007). He was awesome. During the first rehearsal he opened up the floor for some questions about him. Someone said, "Who's your favorite SEC team?" His response was, "I would have to say Alabama. We played them a few years back and I got to meet a lot of their fans. We welcomed them to tailgate with us and they were so classy. Then the next year I made the trip to Tuscaloosa and there were a lot more Bama fans, of course, but they still showed us so much class and welcomed us just as we had welcomed them. And also, we were up at that time and their program was down, and they STILL played us very close." (As a music major at UA, it's nice to find music people who actually CARE about college football. haha. most music students here appreciate, but the majority of them aren't as passionate as I am about Bama football.)

Like many others, 2nd place is way, way down the pecking order. But, my #2 is the CU Buffaloes because I've lived in the Boulder area for many years, and I got my Master's degree from there. #3 would be Georgia Tech - I lived on the Tech campus in the Olympic Village doing an internship at Tech during the 1992 summer games in Atlanta - still one of the best times I've ever had.

As for pro teams, I've always been a fan of the Broncos, and unless they draft Newton, I always will be, win or lose.

It was Georgia only up until we went to Norman in 2002 and then I added OU to that select list. We had a blast with the Sooner fans and they were just as cool when they came to T-town.

Alabama.

Grew up a die hard CU fan and forever will be but my good friends dad is a Bama grad and spent a lot of time over there and slowly came to adopt Bama as my 2nd team, except when they're playing CU which won't happen for a while.

I didn't see any qualifiers saying it had to be a CFB or even a FB team...
I'm a big fan of Everton and Newcastle of the EPL, Rangers of the SPL, Barcelona of La Liga, and LA Galaxy and Philadelphia Union along with cheering for the Seattle Sounders and Chicago fire of MLS!

Schlante & Roll Tide,
Phillip
