It is easy to say something like that when you don't live around, work with or come in daily contact with barn scum. Living in Alabama however I understand the extent of their hatred or extreme jealousy of all things Bama. They have tried to get us in deeper trouble with the NCAA hoping we get the death penalty. So don't worry my priorities are straight when I say I will never stoop to pulling for the barn. Trust me we will not need the barn to win to get a championship.
Even though I live out of state now, I have lived an overwhelming majority of my life in Alabama, so I am fully aware of the scenarios and daily contact with rival fans. So I am afraid that your argument on that point has no merit...

I personally enjoy the Barn jealsouy of all things Bama. I believe the typical Barn fan is more interested in seeing Bama fail than their own program succeed. I refuse to stoop to that level. My top priority is what is best for Bama. Auburn losing is always a fun, but I will never prefer it to the success of Bama.

Of course all of this is rendered moot, if we take care of our own business. But why not give ourselves an insurance policy. A one loss SEC champ still has a high likelyhood of making the BCS champ game. Getting to and winning the SECCG should be priority #1. Worrying about Auburn ranks right below cleaning the lint trap in my clothes dryer.

This is a win/win and a lose/lose situation

If LSU wins then Auburn loses, this is a good thing

If Auburn wins that means LSU has another SEC loss which is a good thing.

I guess I will be pulling for LSU, but wont shed any tears if the Barn does win the game.

I voted "Other" and here is why........... there is no way in heck I can pull for Auburn. But let me say this... it will benefit us if they win. That would mean LSU comes to the Capstone with nothing to lose. I know some people say that is when you have to worry, but not me. Coming to Tuscaloosa with a chance for them to go to Atlanta scares me. Cause if we only have one lose to LSU and they only have one lose to Florida... they will go to the SECCG.

Do I think they will have another lose down the stretch to Ark or Ole Miss... sure, but not willing to take that chance.

I can't stand either team, it would be awfully tough to root for the Barn, but I am leaning that way. But on the other hand I really can't go for Auburn in anything. In the end I will root for a tie.

I'm always a "Bama First" kind of guy. the value of a loss being hung on LSU is just too obvious. So, I'll hold my nose and pull for the "Wah Iggles."

I can't pull for the barn...I won't...I refuse. If we don't win out and go to the SECCG then we don't deserve it. I don't want any other team to claim a co-champion of the west. So, down wit hthe barn. When we play LSU then down with them...down with MSU...then there is no question. I will pull for Bama to be undefeated...no question...that is all.

I want LSU to be as highly ranked as possible when we play them. If we beat them, which I fully expect, then we have beaten yet another highly ranked team. If we lose to them, which I do not expect, then we have at least lost to a team that is highly ranked. Either way, we benefit more the higher they are ranked...and we all know that if they lose to Auburn they will drop significantly in the polls.

At this point, LSU's ranking when they play us is of no significance. We don't need the SOS boost to remain #1 or #2...If we lose, (assuming that is our only loss) a SCG victory will likely be enough to get us there as well.

If we don't win out...SOMEBODY will play in the SECCG with a loss...it might as well be us. The last 3 SEC Champs/National Champs all had a loss...which would you prefer? A 13-1 National Championship, or a 13-1 Suger Bowl victory?

I know, I know...a 14-0 National Championship is option C...but why not give ourselves more than one way into the show...if 14-0 doesn't happen, I would like to see a road where a 13-1 National Championship is available and not a Sugar Bowl game vs Boise State.
