I think so. Perhaps the voters decided to give it to Mendoza because he's ready to enter the draft while Sayin will be back to try and win it next season.

That plus the fact that Pavia recently sought, and was awarded, an additional 17 years of eligibility...

Julian Sayin is probably the best QB in the country. #1 in every passing category. Short passes, long passes over 20 yards in air, under pressure, on the move.

Wish we could have kept him... I think it was a done deal to move after within hours of Saban announcing though.

This is the weakest Heisman class in recent memory. While Pavia should have won, perception-wise Mendoza looked to be the safer, more wholesome pick. More often than not somebody who has no business winning always comes away with the trophy.

I googled it and I wish I could say I am surprised, but I am not. I don't think I have ever heard runner-up respond like this.

And now you know why Diego Pavia is trying to get another year of eligibility. Cause nobody in the NFL wants to deal with Johnny Foozball Part Deux and pretty sure his "Advisory Board" knows this too......Or some nimrod hires that one Lawyer who argues Right To Work against College Eligibility and the 5yrs to complete 4 seasons rule and gets it thrown out.

I may be mistaken but I thought during that Heisman show when they interviewed Pavia he said something about trying to treat others the way he'd like to be treated. I guess he excludes Heisman voters from "others".

He would have find class first before he could stay classy. Most punk QB we have seen in a while. He is Manziel’s mini-me - literally.

My vote would be Love. If you didnt see him play try to watch some highlights. He should have been 1st or 2nd IMHO. If we had a RB like him we would be undefeated.

They did a Gameday story on Love earlier in the year and that caused me to pull for him.
