to get his knee scoped. If it has been bothering him so long like he stated, then why wait. I know we are deep at linebacker, but we don't need anybody that is this important to miss any games. I do hope he recovers well and is back as soon as they expect him to be. Any thoughts.

there couldve been many factors when thinkin of this.......but he should recover pretty quickly though. i hear scope jobs on knees now are much smaller and the recovery is much more quick than once was. wished it was the same for ankles :rolleye2: the ones i got were about the size of a jumbo pencil

I heard they were waiting to see if they were going to have to do it. There was a chance they wouldn't have to scope the knee, and they wanted to wait until the last possible second to see if it would get better on its own.

82 is correct...

MRIs are often ambiguous when it comes to meniscus. I had two scopes in 2000. The orthopedist thought he had trimmed all the damaged area off, but I continued to have intermittent "catches" in the knee while playing BB. I finally talked him into another MRI, which showed loose debris in the knee. The second scope did it. It's just not always clear-cut...

Not really a tough procedure and minimal downtime. Don't know all the details but he should be back in action before the Utah State game or sooner.

According to CMS tonight on "HEY COACH", he said he fully expects for FR to be ready to play by the Utah State game.

Wow! I had a scope about 20 years ago and woke up with a cast from my groin to my ankle. They told me it wasn't a torn ligament,(which they first diagnosed) but I still had to wear it for 6 weeks. I hacksawed it off about 4 weeks though, and never went back to the doctor.

Maybe that's why I talk like I do. Whups, wrong part of the anatomy. :conf2:
